$10 cover $7 w/can of food
$1 per person at the door who gives your (the producer's) name and PAYS to get in
the door generates the prize so make sure to get your people to come out and support
and the audience will also be the third judge. all competitors pay cover to help generate
the prize.
Your folks can RSVP on going.com to the Psych Rock battle and get in for free before 10:30pm
but again, the door generates the prize money and you get $1 per paying head who says your
name at the door.

Deejay OM and MAKossa are judging this and audience is the third judge.
Also bring 1:00 original beats (I suggest at least 9) in addition to the
four sample flip beats you will be doing for the battle.
for round 1 all participants have been assigned group number with a
corresponding song name. You must make a 1:00 beat flipping this sample
and adding whatever else you want to it such as synths, samples, your own drums
but the idea is to see how you can flip the sample and the judges will have this in mind
round 2 has a folder with several samples in it...you must use at least one sample to make
a 1:00 minute beat but you can use all of them if you like and we encourage you to do so.
Again you can add whatever you like to the beats.
round 3 is the same as round 2, with different samples in its own folder.
Round 4 is the diggin round, you must find your own psych rock song, play the original
then play your 1:00 minute beat that you made from it. use wikipedia.com or google
to look up what psych rock is if you don't know or have a good idea. There are TONS
of blogs on blogspot.com dedicated to psych rock. The majority of the stuff in this battle
are heavier, darker, funkier psych rock songs and we encourage that. There are tons of
international psych rock songs as well, from Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, etc.
